Thanks to all who attended the 2008 Great Midwest Alpaca Festival. It was another successful year and we hope you’ll join us again in 2009.

We’d also like to thank everyone for another successful silent auction. More than $10,000 was raised, which allowed us to donate $5,000 to The Great Midwest Alpaca Festival Scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. The annual scholarship was awarded to Becky Johnson and paid for part of her tuition and provided her with an externship with an experienced alpaca veterinarian. The show also donated $5,000 to the Alpaca Research Foundation (ARF) from silent auction proceeds. The show has provided more than $30,000 in support to the ARF.
